his premier event of Oakland County, Michigan, was formed by County Executive L. Brooks Patterson in honor and remembrance of his son Brooks Stuart Patterson. "Brooksie," as he was known to his family and friends, was killed in a snowmobiling accident in February 2007.

DEADLINE TO REGISTER: May 23, 2008
Runners World magazine has called it the largest training program for a single athletic event in the country. Last year over 1,200 men and women joined the Crim Training Program to train to run or walk a race in Flints Crim Festival of Races. Now it's being offered to The Brooksie Way participants.
