Due to recent weather conditions, there is now a road damage problem on a small section of the 10k/5k course on the OU campus.

While crews are working to repair the damage we have identified an alternative course. A map of this course will be available on the HealthPlus Brooksie Way website very soon. It is hoped the original course will be repaired and available by race day, but should the repairs take longer than expected we will use this new course route and all 10k/5k participants will be notified of this new course.

10K Race

The 10K is the newest Brooksie race, to be introduced in the fall of 2013. This course begins and ends at the official "HealthPlus Brooksie Way" start/finish line on the grounds of Meadowbrook Music Festival.  The course travels through beautiful sections of Oakland University, past historical Meadow Brook Hall, winding through scenic areas near the athletic complexes and the University Recreation Center.  The 10k features a variety of surfaces including some slightly elevated hills and flat areas.

  presented by Citizens Bank
Participating in a 5K race is a great goal for new runners. You'll get lots of support, as well as enjoyment, from participating in a race -- 5K (3.1 miles) is the perfect distance for first-timers. Taking place mostly on the campus of Oakland University, the 5k will provide you with a spectacular early morning run.
