Proceeds from the HealthPlus Brooksie Way are given back to the community via Brooksie Way minigrants. All non-profit groups and agencies in Oakland County offering health and fitness-related programs are eligible to apply.
“The Brooksie Way Minigrant program is proving to be extremely popular,” said L. Brooks Patterson, Oakland County Executive. “It helps local communities by supplying programs that promote good health. Since its inception, it has returned to the communities nearly $125,000 in grants. I’m delighted to make those awards in my son’s name.”
Support from HealthPlus, the title sponsor of the Brooksie Way, helps make the minigrant program possible. “We’re pleased that our sponsorship helps make the Brooksie Way minigrants possible for additional worthwhile health and wellness initiatives in Oakland County,” said Nancy Jenkins, president and CEO of HealthPlus.
