A 6:30 arrival is recommended. Recommended parking is at the corner of WALTON and ADAMS, in the grassy lot by the OU Electronic Sign, with the best entrance to OU grounds via Adams Road. Walton/University traffic is expected to be heavy.

After 9:00 am, once the runners have cleared Walton Blvd., northbound Adams traffic will be allowed to Walton, then will be directed Eastbound on Walton. I-75 Traffic Advisory for Brooksie Race Weekend

The Michigan Department of Transportation plans to close northbound and southbound I-75 between I-696 and Square Lake Road beginning at 11 p.m. Friday night and re-opening at 5 a.m. on Monday. This is part of the I-75 modernization project in Oakland County and will facilitate the removal of a bridge and repairs to pavement sections.

Race participants are urged to plan for an alternate route and add extra travel time. The Oakland University area can be reached by utilizing M-59 to the Adams Road exit (#42) or the Squirrel Road exit (#41).

Alternate routes into the area from the South include Telegraph (US-24), Woodward (M-1), Opdyke, Crooks, Adams and Rochester Road.

The construction project is weather dependent, and updates can be found at www.michigan.gov/drive.
